Led by father Kawika Au and his young daughters U’ilani and Lokomaika’ikeakua, the Au ‘Ohana of Waialua, O’ahu conducts a traditional opening protocol with Kumu Hula Lehela Igarta, featuring authentic hula as it was practiced for centuries before the Europeans arrived in Hawai’i.

The whole audience enjoyed a performance by Owana Salazar, a Grammy winner, and Na Hoku Hanohano awardee, singing O Makalapua. She was joined by Xiao Fang Zhou, singing a duet of a traditional Chinese folk song, A Small Town.
