Michael North describes a recent visit and discussion at the Shanghai Academy, part of Shanghai University.
The purpose of the visit was to re-conceive relationships between America and China, based on the principle of equality and mutual respect.
The idea of a “reciprocal” relationship was explored, in which people, government, resources, and economies of two largest nations combine with equal impact, forming a whole that is greater than the sum of its parts.
